Assassin's Creed 3
Set for release in the last part of 2012, Assassin's Creed 3 is to start a brand new story. Revelations saw the end of Ezio's story, so where might the next game in the series take us? It could see a move to Egypt. Or maybe we will head across to China and spend some time with Shao Jun [from Embers]? We're not going to know just yet, but we are still very excited.

Grand Theft Auto 5
Seeing a welcome return to Los Santos, this is definitely a game to be excited about. Grand Theft Auto is Rockstar's biggest title and for good reason. GTA V may see a family story mixed in with a big, new feature. There are rumours that this could be multiple character co-op.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
The first Call of Duty: Black Ops was quite neatly concluded, so what could a follow up game have in store? Rumours suggest that maybe there will be a bit of time hopping, focusing on the war torn 70's. Maybe they will delve into the Cold War? Either way, after the huge success of Black Op's, it's set to be big.

God of War 4
Another PS3 game, there have been rumours floating around for a while now as to whether it will happen. First of all, Sony Santa Monica Studios posted a job listing on, looking for an online developer to join their GOW team. Following this was the leaked cv of an animator, stating God of War 4 as one of the projects and finally, an insider has revealed to PSM3 magazine that the game is set to be released in September 2012.

Halo 4
Said to be released on the 12/12/12, we already know that Master Chief is alive and will be woken by Cortana's call for help. We also know that Master Chief has a new jetpack to play with, which could be fun.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
With the game's story set to be changing places in the timeline, it will take place several years after Metal Gear Solid 4. Here we will see that cyborgs have become more commonplace. Playing as Ninja Raiden, you'll be able to cut through pretty much anything, so that's pretty exciting stuff on its own.

Tomb Raider
Lara Croft is back people. The new game will see the heroine tested both psychologically and physically in this new offering to the franchise.

Resident Evil 6
There isn't a lot of information for this right now, but we expect there will be soon. So far, we know that there may be a completely new system. It is also meant to return to its roots.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Alan will be attempting to put a stop to a serial killer that has been written into existence. The gameplay has been improved since the last instalment and with a new setting, we're excited to jump in.

BioShock Infinite
The upcoming first person shooter is the third in the BioShock series, and it's looking good. The world in which it is set is creative and graphically beautiful. There is a lot of potential for a really good game.

The Last Guardian
A PS3 only title, the game will centre on a little boy, who will you be as the player, and a Trico creature, exploring their relationship as you solve puzzles.

David Cage's New Game
We don't have a name for this. But David Cage is said to be working on a new game. We all know that David Cage and his team brought us the huge Heavy Rain, but apparently, they are now working on something completely different. It could be based in the World War.

Mass Effect 3
The game will return with the space travelling sci-fi story we have all come to love. Unfortunately, the entire script was leaked online, which is never good. But hopefully not too many people have spoiled it. With improved combat and co-op mode, it's set to be bigger than ever.

Dead Space 3
We are resting on rumours again here. Well, more like leaks. First, EA accidentally mentioned it in a conference call, which was then followed by an Internet leak, claiming that Isaac will crash on Tau Volantis, an ice planet. Apparently he will have a schizophrenic shadow of himself following him. Interesting. He will rescue the crew and then fight the hive mind. Could be fun.

PES 2013
They do need to up their game and maybe this will be the year. FIFA 12 outsold them in the UK by 20:1. Ouch. It is said that Konami have big plans for the visuals, so we'll have to wait and see.

Prey 2
Here you jump into this open world as Killian Samuels. As him, your job is to find criminals in a city known as The Bowery. With first person shooting thrown in, it is fast paced and you don't need to worry if you haven't played the first in the series, as it's not a necessity to play and understand this one.

Diablo 3
This game is heading to the PS3 [and of course PC] and will feature a sprawling landscape, co-op mode and will be played top down.
